Big Ag is Draining the Colorado River Dry
The Colorado River basin supplies water across seven states, Mexico, and up to 30 federally recognized Native American Tribes. But big agribusiness is greedily guzzling billions of gallons of water in this already drought-stricken region. As a result, the water security of over 40 million people is at risk.
The Bureau of Reclamation is developing new guidelines to protect and distribute this vital resource, and we must ensure they prioritize communities over industrial agriculture that has been guzzling water unchecked for decades. Tell them to prioritize water for household use, not big ag.
