In the past few weeks, a string of destructive incidents caused by construction of the SRL fracked gas pipeline has shown what many of us knew all along: there is no safe way to build a fracked gas pipeline through the Pinelands.
Heavy industrial drilling through neighborhoods and sensitive ecological areas have left multiple waterways severely polluted. An on June 19th, a drilling accident caused toxic sludge to crack the foundation of one family's home and flood their basement. A few hours later, the home was condemned. In response, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has temporarily suspended drilling on the pipeline.
This is a step in the right direction, but we must keep the pressure on Governor Murphy to stop this dangerous, unnecessary pipeline for good.
Send a message urging Gov. Murphy to stop the SRL Pipeline now!
