Public water systems aren't supposed to be about private profits. But that's what can happen when public drinking water and sewer systems are put in the hands of private corporations.

Governor Baker is a fan of privatizing public services, leading to a provision in his 2018 Climate Change Bill that calls for public-private partnerships for our essential water services.

We've seen numerous examples of water privatization leading to degraded service, higher costs, and loss of local control over essential services. Let's learn from that and not hand our public water systems over to corporations whose loyalty is to shareholders, not us.

Tell Massachusetts legislators to REJECT privatizing our water.

Your Message
Dear Representative,

I'm counting on you to stand up for public water systems -- and the people who rely on them -- by removing Section 31 from HB 4318 that promotes privatization of essential public water services.

Sincerely,
