New Jersey March for Our Lungs

New Jersey March for Our Lungs

Students all around NJ invite you to MARCH FOR OUR LUNGS to urge Gov. Murphy to reject the proposed fracked-gas Meadowlands Power Plant.

In addition to impacting our local communities, this plant would be the biggest climate polluter in NJ! Our collective presence will show the governor that we need him to reject this dirty, dangerous and unnecessary power plant NOW before more permits for the plant get approved!

New York Times best-selling author Naomi Klein and State Senator Loretta Weinberg will be speaking!

What: March 0.8 miles from Ridgefield Memorial High School to the site near the proposed power plant (FUDA parking lot). Students will lead the way, but all ages are encouraged because we are stronger together!

When: Saturday, May 18, 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Where: Ridgefield Memorial High School, 555 Walnut St., Ridgefield, NJ

Parking: Free parking at Ridgefield Memorial High School. Once these 2 lots fill up, you can find street parking on Chestnut St (behind high school) or Bruce St (then walk through Veterans Memorial Park to get to high school). There is also a parking lot (10 min walk) on Slocum Ave (next to the Ridgefield Community Center)

Other Considerations: Please carpool if you can! Also, we will have water bottle refill stations along the route so please bring a reusable water bottle!
