The oil and gas industry has begun construction on the two dangerous fracked gas pipelines called the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
Unbelievably, Virginia regulators issued state water permits for these pipelines without completing stream-by-stream analysis of the impact they'll have on the hundreds of waterways they'll cut through. Those waterways include drinking water sources for many Virginians.
Now Governor Northam and his Department of Environmental Quality are asking for public comments on the impacts these pipelines will have on Virginia's water quality -— and they need to hear from you.
Take action below to tell Governor Northam and his state agencies to halt construction on these pipelines and require complete stream-by-stream analysis of their impact on water quality.
