Five years ago, on October 23, 2015, SoCalGas discovered a leak at their Aliso Canyon storage facility in Los Angeles, CA, that operators failed to contain for 111 days. This massive methane and toxin release remains the largest gas blowout in U.S. history.

Today, we continue to work closely alongside frontline communities to get this dangerous facility shut down. But while families continue to suffer from the aftermath, California Governor Newsom has allowed SoCalGas to increase use of Aliso by 3000%!

With worsening droughts and climate-fueled wildfires year after year, Newsom MUST lead the fight against dirty fossil fuel infrastructure, like Aliso, that accelerate climate chaos. Nowhere else is an elected official so well positioned to boldly lead the world on combating catastrophic climate change than Governor Newsom is in California, and he has the executive authority to shut this dangerous fossil fuel facility down.

Sign below to demand that Governor Newsom SHUT Aliso down, stop all new fracking and drilling permits in California, and lead the way toward a 100% renewable energy future!
