Water is a human right — and Chicago has an opportunity to ensure that clean, safe drinking water is affordable and accessible for all Chicago residents.
Over the last decade, a typical Chicago water bill has more than tripled, causing difficulties for low and fixed-income households.
Alderman Carlos Rosa (35th ward) is going to re-introduce the Chicago Water-for-All ordinance in City Council. This legislation creates a program that ensures that the biggest water users are paying their fair share. It also ensures democratic control over our water system and requires that water system improvements happen equitably in all of our neighborhoods.
But to get enough support to become policy, City Council needs to hear from you. Fill out the form below to tell YOUR City Council Member to support the Water-for-All ordinance!
