Tell Your County Supervisors: No CO2 Pipelines in Iowa!

Tell Your County Supervisors: No CO2 Pipelines in Iowa!

Iowa is being threatened by three hazardous carbon pipelines. In order to protect our communities and stop these dangerous proposals, we must encourage our local elected officials to take action.

One crucial way for individual counties to fight the carbon pipelines is by the County Board of Supervisors passing a legally-binding ordinance. The ordinance contains a variety of protective actions that will stop or delay the construction of carbon pipelines.

We need your help to introduce a model ordinance in all 58 pipeline-impacted counties in Iowa. You can view and print the ordinance here.

From there, you simply need to e-mail it to your Supervisors or present it at your weekly Board of Supervisors meeting.

If you have any questions about the ordinance or the process of introducing it, please contact Emma at eschmit@fwwatch.org
