Fracking for oil and gas produces millions of gallons of toxic wastewater. Allowing disposal of this waste in New Jersey creates serious environmental and public health risks.
This toxic sludge has previously been shipped into New Jersey, so we need to take action so it doesn't happen again.
The state legislature passed a ban on fracking waste twice — in 2012 and 2014 — only to see it vetoed by Governor Christie. Now a new bill is moving through the legislature, and the state of New Jersey finally has another opportunity to ban fracking waste. But state elected officials need to hear from you!
