Protect Drinking Water: Ban Fracking in the Delaware River Basin!

Hudson River

Donald Trump promised during his presidential campaign that he would allow for more fracking around the country.

Now, we’re hearing that staff at the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) are drafting plans to allow fracking in the critically important Delaware watershed, which provides drinking water for over 17 million people.

Four governors — Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania — and the president have a voting representative on the DRBC. Six years ago, communities around the Delaware watershed came together to keep fracking out of the region. Now, we need to fight again.

Dear [Governor],

We need to move away from climate change-inducing fossil fuels like fracked gas. Please protect our precious drinking water and support a ban on fracking in the Delaware River Basin.
