Submit a Public Comment on California's Draft Fracking Regulations

No Such Thing As Safe Fracking

Governor Brown's California Department of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR) just released its first draft of regulations for fracking in the Golden State. But these regulations do not go far enough to protect our air, water, communities and climate.

There is no such thing as safe fracking — we need to ban this destructive process
to truly protect our state.

These proposed regulations come as public outrage over fracking is building statewide. If Governor Brown wants to be a leader on climate change, then he must ban fracking now.

Tell DOGGR and Governor Brown that these weak regulations aren't good enough. We need a ban.

Submit a public comment below and we'll deliver it directly to DOGGR.

Dear [Decision Maker],

I urge you to protect California's public health, our water and our climate by implementing a statewide ban on hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, and related extreme drilling techniques (acidizing and gravel packing).

I urge you to protect the residents of California and enact an immediate statewide ban on fracking.
