Tell Congress to End Antibiotic Use in Livestock Production

Antibiotics in factory farmsAccording to FDA, 80% of antibiotics in the U.S. are sold for use in livestock. Most of those antibiotics are given to animals in low doses in their feed, a practice called "subtherapeutic use" that encourages the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. This is a global threat to human health and must be stopped.

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration has failed to stop the overuse of antibiotics in livestock, so it is time for Congress to step up and ban subtherapeutic antibiotic use in livestock!
