Tell the USDA: Reject the Chicken Industry's Inspection Plan

Factory Farm Poultry

Big chicken companies want the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to loosen food safety rules and put profits over people's safety.

Right now, food safety inspectors check 2.33 birds every second — and the industry says that's too slow.

Increasing the speed of inspection puts workers and people who eat chicken at an unacceptable risk. We can't let this happen.

The USDA is accepting public comments on the proposal for a limited time.

TAKE ACTION now and tell the USDA to REJECT the industry proposal to increase line speeds for chicken inspection.

Chicken Industry Line Speed Petition

Dear Department of Agriculture,

No one should have to wonder whether the food they feed their families is safe to eat. I urge you to reject this petition and preserve the cap on line speeds.
